SwordCat Writes | A Digital Letter Column

Jayde's blunter than her mom. 'Cause blunt extraordinaire James is her dad. Ah, genetics...

This is among the most straightforward pages I've done, but I liked the effect of Erica's kitchen dialogue punching through the wall where the poster of her's heart would be if posters had hearts. Julia's the cutest, but Erica's the true heart of the piece.

This page introduces Erica's daughter Jayde in the flesh; she has been mentioned in earlier issue(s) -- #2 at least, where Jack lambasts James for being a deadbeat dad. She's holding the shark Jack had on his dash on page 1 of issue #1.

Jayde likes sharks. Weirdly? Not jets.

Soup sock,

Missed this, lo those many moons ago...

Erica's pretty damn blunt, and so is James. And their daughter, Jayde, takes after their bluntness. It's genetics.:)

...and, it'll be all kinds of extra fun when Jayde is featured as a main character in the superhero high school spinoff (which I'm currently writing).
