I am clearly a great feminist -- MOVE OVER, STEINEM!!!
I keed, of course: I would never presume to tell Gloria Steinem what to do. And sorry this is late; I really didn't want to post it uncolored. I'm pretty damn happy with this piece, which for once is better than what was in my head -- well, 95% of it anyway, which for an eternally (it never gets old!) self-critical artist is pretty good math.
Honestly, my favorite part of coloring is playing around with light. It's surprisingly easy, except that I usually have 6 or more layers of it...
Kathryn/Artemis is the hero of the piece, but I like to underscore that she could just as easily be the monster of the piece. She's WAY scarier here than any of the baddies so far have been -- and she's tied up!
Wait 'til you see how Kathryn gets herself into this one, and see her second-darkest secret revealed (lady's got a lot of dark secrets). New story page next Friday, fillers 'til. Hoping to do TWO story pages the week after.
As usual, COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN! Send me a PM, or hit me up on Face-
book or Twitter. My rates are reasonable -- don't reason a cow.
Not only did I want her to be scary as hell here, but I also didn't want any hint of a helpless bondage vibe to the piece. Cheesecake, this ain't.
